I so wish I can bike faster. I feel like such a slug but after not biking (even on a trainer) for a few months, I lost my legs. Going 17 mph felt like 21!
Today was slow. 16mph for 18 miles. As someone pointed out, at least I WAS biking. The shoulder was sore before I even started but think that could be due to the PT I had right before the ride.
I backed off the running because I don't think my recovery has been very good the last two weeks. A few days rest may be beneficial in the "long run". Pun intended! I plan to run tomorrow for 7 miles (wishful thinking) and then 10 on Saturday.
The weather will be absolutely beautiful for it! Sunny!!
Keep on riding and your speed will come back.
