I typed this up a week ago and am now just reviewing it. It is amazing how situations change in life.
Nothing happening in my World except the kids keeping me busy and the weather changed to the typical NW weather. My tan is fading already. My shoulder is doing okay only if I sleep good which I have been for the past two/three weeks. (Not anymore)
I have been running a little more in preparation for another 1/2 marathon, which I haven't decided when. Definitely before November. I have two or three options at this time (they don't fill up fast like the RnR in Seattle did).
1) Leavenworth, beginning of October, except hotels aren't available near there for 30 miles. It's their Octoberfest -- German beer etc. 2) Lake Chelan in September, except the turn out is very slim and it would be a boring slog of a race. I wouldn't call it a race. 3) End of September in Enumclaw (yeah, I don't pronounce it very well.) The organizer has a 1/2 ironman, olympic tri, duathlon, 1/2 marathon and other events and they don't run it very well like Chelanman does. (Might do the Seattle 1/2 Marathon)
I'm also waiting to hear about my hubby's job on Tuesday. Doesn't sound good. (Here we go again.) So holding off on spending money that isn't a necessity. Spent $360 at Costco so we're set in Toilet paper and paper towels for a few months! (Job is secure for now)
My decision may be on the town I don't pronounce correctly because it is only a 45 minute drive....and less expensive.
Shame about the hotels in Leavenworth being full. It is such a beautiful town it would be a great place to race. Glad to hear that your hubby's job is safe for now!
